Purpose of Organization:  To increase the participation of black and minority students and other constituent interaction and communication with the University and each other.  To enhance the experience of black and minority students.  To promote commitment to Winthrop University's mission by involving all minority students in all aspects of the affairs of Winthrop University that have an impact on minorities.  To extend the University's system of service and recognition programs; support minority organizations with an emphasis on black student organizations; and to support the programs and initiatives of the Black Alumni Council
