Purpose of Organization: To facilitate networking among all math enthusiasts on Winthrop's Campus both majors and non-majors alike.
Description of Organization: NERDs is a medium for all math enthusiasts, both majors and non-majors alike, who want to share their passion with other math lovers on campus by coordinating social events, special guest speakers, math-related service projects, and more.
Planned Projects/Events: Tuesday October 9th - College Connection, Math games, and officer elections (11:40-12:15 Owens 103) Thursday October 18th - Marvin Jones "Solutions of the cubic Fermat equation in quadratic fields" (11-12 Kinard 101) *Pizza and dessert!* Monday November 5th - Bowling night at Strikers (Time TBD)
