Purpose of Organization: To provide a network or support to military veterans and their families, to educate the university community about the experiences
of miliary veterans and work with the university's administration to meet the needs of current and future student veterans, to cultivate student veterans concerns through scheduled meetings, advocacy, social, and recreational activities, to foster camaraderie amoung student veterans, and to promote an understanding of veteran issues.
Description of Organization: The Student Veterans of Winthrop University strives to ensure that veterans are successful in their transition from combat to the classroom by developing programs and policies that help veterans with the transition, centralizing the critical resources that student veterans need to graduate, and advocating on behalf of the student veterans of Winthrop.
