Student Allocations Committee

Purpose:

The Student Allocations Committee (SAC) is a university committee formed with the purpose of assisting Winthrop’s student clubs and organizations in sponsoring programs and events beneficial to the entire student body of Winthrop University.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for SAC funding, student organizations must fulfill the following requirements:

1. Be officially chartered by the Council of Student Leaders and recognized by the Office for Clubs and Organizations.

2. Be in good standing with the Office for Clubs and Organizations and submit a completed Campus Organization Registration Form in the semester funding is requested. Registration forms are due September 30th and January 31st.

3. Have a representative attend both the Clubs and Organizations and Space Use training in the academic year funding is requested.

4. Have a representative attend SAC training for the designated funding period.

Note: The representatives who attend the training session are responsible for

communicating ALL the information back to the organization.

5. On-campus events and activities must be open to all Winthrop students.

6. Organizations charging admission to events/programs funded by the SAC may realize profits only after reimbursing the SAC account for the original appropriation. (Your organization must pay SAC back the original amount loaned to you).

Note: Events and activities supported in whole or in part by SAC funds need not and should not avoid controversial, political, religious and/or ideological content. All SAC allocation decisions are made in a view-point neutral manner

Dates for Fall Allocations:

THE LAST DAY TO ACCESS FALL MONEY IS FEBRUARY 6TH.

Dates for Spring Allocations:

THE LAST DAY TO ACCESS SPRING MONEY IS APRIL 27

Dates for Summer/Early Fall Allocations:

SUMMER FUNDS MAY BE ACCESSED FROM APRIL 28-JUNE 20.
EARLY FALL FUNDS MAY BE ACCESSED FROM JULY 1-SEPT. 15.
