Purpose of Organization To foster an appreciation of literature in students.
Description of Organization The Literary Society, the oldest organization on campus, meets semi-monthly to discuss works of poetry and prose in an analytic fashion; it is also involved in various academic events, sponsoring speakers, readers of poetry and prose, etc., and is involved in the annual English Department Graduate and Undergraduate Conference.
