Winthrop University is committed to offering every student the resources and opportunities needed to enjoy sports and exercise at any level they choose. Participating in the Club Sports Program helps students develop new athletic skills and improve their talent within an amusing and enjoyable environment. The rules and regulations obligate all participants to good sportsmanship and appropriate behavior. By implementing these ideas the Office of Recreational Services promotes a fair and safe atmosphere to everyone.
Winthrop University's Club Sports Program is made up of teams and clubs devoted to sports and other recreational activities that are generally not represented by any of the University's varsity athletic teams. Club Sports are open to Winthrop students of all athletic abilities. The level of commitment and performance vary from club to club. Your involvement in Club Sports is strictly voluntary and clubs are organized for the purpose of furthering a common interest in activities through participation and competition.
