Group Fitness

The Office of Recreational Services offers an array of exercise classes that fit all fitness levels. To participate in any of the fitness classes, show up at the scheduled class time and location ready to get fit. The following schedule will run from December 2-December 19.

Class Descriptions:

Ab Attack: A 15-25 minute workout of great core exercises. It is ideal for a quick abs workout or in addition to a longer class.

Aqua Tone: Water Aerobics!  Class is held in the pool (Room 109). No swimming skills required. Use of water weights, kickboards and other equipment enable a whole body workout while bearing very little weight on joints.

Boot Camp: This interval class combines challenging segments of cardiovascular work, muscle conditioning, and other athletic drills for a complete total body workout.

Dance Circuit: This dance class uses choreography that challenges your rhythm. If you love to dance and workout, this class is for you!

HIIT: This is a non-stop, high intensity workout that will get your heart pumping! High-intensity interval training includes cardio intervals mixed with strength training. Bring your energy!

Piloxing: A fusion of Pilates and Boxing moves that help you burn fat, build muscle, and work your core at once.

Pilates: Pilates focuses specifically on the core (abdominals and lower back) and helps improve flexibility, strength, and balance.

PiYo:Unique, athletic blend of Pilates and Yoga. The moves fit perfectly together to form choreography that is both fun and challenging. 

Power Yoga: A challenging, fast-paced flow of your favorite yoga poses designed to strengthen your body.  All levels welcome and modifications are shown.

Sculpt 'n Slide: A whole body muscle conditioning class using gliders, dumbbells and other fitness equipment as resistance tools.

Steppin’ Up: This class uses an adjustable step to raise your fitness and cardio level to new heights!

Total Tone: Hit every major muscle group with this total body workout! Moderate resistance training designed for all levels.

Yoga: Challenge your mind, body, and spirit as you improve your balance and stability through a series of poses. This class provides an excellent and complete flexibility and toning workout for all levels. 

Zumba: Ditch the workout; Join the party!  This class fuses Latin rhythms with easy to follow dance moves.







All group fitness classes are available for current students and faculty/staff/alumni West Center members only and open to all levels of fitness.
