ACIS Intern

PURPOSE:  The ACIS Marketing Intern (“ACIS Intern”) will act as a brand ambassador for ACIS Sponsors on their campus and will report to a designated ACIS University Relations Manager. The ACIS Intern's role will be to assist the designated ACIS Program Coordinator on their campus with the implementation of all ACIS Sponsorship programs.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • College students studying marketing, sports management, business, communications or related field
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high demand environment
  • Exhibit outstanding interpersonal communication skills
  • Confidence to share ideas and have the ability to grasp new concepts quickly
  • Have the stamina to perform under the high demands of event execution
  • Must be enthusiastic, highly organized, self-motivated, be able to demonstrate leadership & problem solving skills, and be passionate about marketing and college sports
  • Able to work some weekends and evenings
  • Must be a current Winthrop University student enrolled at least part time
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Communicate requirements with the ACIS University Relations Manager regarding on-campus programs
  • Ensure quality of ACIS program implementation
  • Promote ACIS programs on campus using provided marketing materials
  • Collect required pre- and post-program surveys for Recreational Services
  • Collect the required amount of sweepstakes entries per ACIS program (standard minimum of 200 per program)
  • Submit verification materials which include but not limited to photos of sponsor product sampling, demonstrations and events
  • Complete intern profile form online at the ACIS web site
  • Complete the ACIS post-internship questionnaire
  • Assist in recruitment of the next ACIS intern
  • Attend online ACIS program training webinar(s)
  • Single semester or full academic year commitment
  • Other duties as assigned

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

  • $150 stipend for each ACIS program completed
  • Earn college credit towards graduation
  • Free ACIS and sponsorship merchandise
