SCOTT H. HUFFMON

Biography
Dr. Scott Huffmon
received his Ph.D. in American Politics and Political Methodology from
the University of Mississippi in 2001. That same year he joined
the faculty here at Winthrop as an Assistant Professor in Political
Science. Dr. Huffmon serves as the Director of the
Social and
Behavioral Research Lab in the department.
He was awarded the Outstanding Junior Professor Award from Winthrop
University in 2004. Dr. Huffmon is also the faculty advisor to the
award winning Mu Pi chapter of
Pi Sigma Alpha. He was most
recently named one of three National Best Chapter Advisors from Pi Sigma
Alpha for 2004-2005. Dr. Huffmon was awarded promotion to
Associate Professor in August 2006 and received tenure effective August
2007.
