Transfer Orientation session is a one-day program beginning at approximately 8 a.m. and ending around 5 p.m. The session includes experiences designed to allow students to learn about campus resources, complete course evaluations, meet with academic advisers and register for classes. Transfer Orientation Leaders are paired with groups of students to assist them with their transition to Winthrop University.

Students can register online for an Orientation session. After you have successfully registered online, you will receive an e-mail confirmation. PLEASE NOTE: ORIENTATION REGISTRATION FOR STUDENTS ADMITTED FOR FALL 2017 WILL OPEN FEBRUARY 1, 2017.
To better accommodate the needs of post-traditional students (students aged 25 and up), a special Advising and Registration Only session is available on Wednesday, July 12 at 5 p.m. (Session C). This an opportunity for post-traditional students to come to campus to be advised and register for classes for the fall semester. The session will begin at 5 p.m.and last until approximately 8 p.m. This session is limited to post-traditional students. Any other transfer students with special circumstances who would like to attend this session should contact the Office of New Student and Family Programs.
