A. Patrick Charnon Memorial Scholarship

Description: A Full-time undergraduate students enrolled in a four-year college in the U.S. Each scholarship carries a stipend of $1,500 per academic year. Recipients may re-apply each year for up to four years, provided they continue to meet the requirements of the award.

Eligibility: Recipients must be admitted or enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program of study in an accredited four-year college or university in the United States. They must maintain good academic standing and make progress toward a degree. The Charnon Scholarship Review Committee will decide whether applicants fulfill the requirements of the award. The selection committee looks for candidates who value tolerance, compassion and respect for all people in their communities, and who have demonstrated their commitments to these values by their actions.

All-USA College Academic Team

Description: Each February, USA TODAY honors 20 undergraduate academic all-stars as its All-USA College Academic Team. The students named to the All-USA College Academic First Team have their photos published and accomplishments spotlighted in USA TODAY's Life section as representatives of all outstanding undergraduates. They each receive a trophy and a $2,500 cash award. Forty more runners-up named to the Second and Third Teams receive certificates; their names are announced in the newspaper.

Eligibility: Open to full-time undergraduates in their sophomore year or higher seeking their first baccalaureate degree at four-year institutions in the USA and its territories.
