ROCK HILL, S.C. - Winthrop University’s College of Business Administration will host financial planner Larry Carroll to the campus on Feb. 11 to present his 2010 Market Update, a client-focused seminar that reviews market indicators and trends.
For some time, Carroll has offered this program in Charlotte as part of an overall communications strategy with his clients. A York County native, Carroll responded positively when approached by Winthrop to bring the program to the business community of York County and the surrounding counties. The evening event will be held in the Whitton Auditorium of the Vivian M. Carroll Hall. Space is limited.
For more information or to attend, contact the business school at 803/323-2186, ext. 6274. This event is sponsored by the College of Business Administration and is offered at no cost to participants.
Carroll has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and quoted in Money, Newsweek, The New York Times, US News and World Report, American Banker, BusinessWeek, and Medical Economics. He has also appeared on the NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw.
Carroll began Carroll Financial Associates in 1980 with a simple approach, “the best interest of the client is the only interest that matters.” He is the president and CEO of the firm which currently manages or supervises more than $1 billion in advisory and brokerage assets and employs 10 Certified Financial Planner™ practitioners. Over the years Carroll Financial has grown into a large independent management firm, but that core philosophy has never changed.
Carroll’s dedication to his clients has earned him national recognition in the financial planning industry. Some of his many accomplishments include:
• Worth magazine’s listing of “The Nation’s Most Exclusive Wealth Managers;” 12 times listed.
• Listed in 2007, 2008 and 2009 on Barron’s first three annual lists of “The Top 100 Independent Financial Advisors.”
• In 2007, honored as one of the ten “Outstanding Advisors of 2007” by Registered Rep magazine.
• Past chairman of the 24,000 member Financial Planning Association.
