University Relations Given Three CASE Awards

 The Office of University Relations received three CASE awards for its projects.
 All entries will be on display from Feb. 5-8 at the CASE District III conference in Nashville, Tenn.

ROCK HILL, S.C. - A University Relations project recently was selected to receive an Award of Excellence, while two other projects received special merit awards as part of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education District III (CASE) awards program.

"Forty Years of Joel Nichols Photography," which was submitted in the category of Slide and Multimedia Programs, won an Award of Excellence for graphic designer Richie McCorkle. He turned a printed piece on university photographer Joel Nichols’ work into a multimedia presentation. Click here to view the work online.

In the Specific Projects Category, the D.B. Johnson Memorial Organ Restoration Campaign included a compilation of printed materials, press clippings and highlights of the campaign’s Web site. The campaign was a collaborative effort by the Division of University Advancement and the Department of Music.

Winthrop’s 2004-05 annual report, "The Winthrop Experience: Live. Learn. Lead," was honored in the category of annual reports that contain four or more colors. The Office of the President, Winthrop Foundation, Development and University Relations offices worked together on the report.

All entries will be on display from Feb. 5-8 at the CASE District III conference in Nashville, Tenn. Afterwards, the entries will be placed in the CASE archives in Washington, D.C.
