Homecoming King and QueenROCK HILL, S.C. – One of the Homecoming highlights was the crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen during the men’s basketball game.
Junior Ron Nelson of Cross, S.C., and senior Sharetta Wynn of Chester, S.C., were voted Homecoming King and Queen by their fellow students for Winthrop’s Homecoming Fall 2009 held Nov. 9-15. Nelson and Wynn accepted their crowns Saturday, Nov. 14, during halftime of the men’s basketball game against Limestone College.
Nelson, the son of Ronald and Helen Nelson, is a chemistry major. He is active in Kingdom Covenant Ministries International and was an Orientation leader.
Wynn, daughter of John Wynn and Debbie Strong, is a political science and sociology major. She is the president of Omicron Delta Kappa, a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, a Peer mentor and was an Orientation leader.
