ROCK HILL, S.C. - Larry Carroll, one of the nation's best known financial advisors, will give the fall M.B.A. Lecture on Oct. 28 for Winthrop University's College of Business Administration.

The event begins with a 5:45 p.m. reception, followed by a 7 p.m. speech by Carroll, president of Carroll Financial Associates of Charlotte, N.C. The lecture will be given in Vivian M. Carroll Hall’s Whitton Auditorium.

Preparing students for a global market s important to Carroll and his wife Vivian, a Class of 1973 alumna and current Winthrop Alumni Association president. The couple donated $1.25 million to create a business and trading center – the Carroll Capital Markets Training and Trading Center - within Winthrop’s College of Business Administration, and the college’s newest building was named in Vivian’s honor.
