University Relations Receives CASE Award for 2006 York County Shrinkdown Efforts

ROCK HILL, S.C. - A project by Winthrop University’s Office of University Relations received an Award of Excellence as part of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District III awards program.

Winthrop’s 2006 York County Shrinkdown entry received the award in the category of Total Programs, Public Affairs. The entry detailed and chronicled the university’s publicity efforts for last year’s Shrinkdown program, an eight-week wellness initiative sponsored by Winthrop, Piedmont Medical Center and the Upper Palmetto YMCA.

The entry was displayed Feb. 4-7 at the CASE District III conference in Nashville, Tenn. The entry will be placed in the CASE archives in Washington, D.C.
