ROCK HILL, S.C. - ETV presents a special preview screening of "The War," the seven-part documentary series directed and produced by critically-acclaimed filmmaker Ken Burns. "The War" explores the history and horror of the Second World War from the perspective of veterans and citizens from four American towns: Waterbury, Conn.; Mobile, Ala.; Sacramento, Calif.; and Luverne, Minn.
The free hour-long preview, which is open to the public and features clips from all seven episodes, takes place on Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. at the Winthrop University's Plowden Auditorium.
"The War" will air in full beginning Sunday, Sept. 23 according to the following schedule:
- Sunday, Sept. 23; 8-10:30 p.m. – Episode One: "A Necessary War"
- Monday, Sept. 24; 8-10 p.m. – Episode Two: "When Things Get Tough"
- Tuesday, Sept. 25; 8-10 p.m. – Episode Three: "A Deadly Calling"
- Wednesday, Sept. 26; 8-10:30 p.m. – Episode Four: "Pride of Our Nation"
- Sunday, Sept. 30; 8-10 p.m. – Episode Five: "FUBAR"
- Monday, Oct. 1; 8-10 p.m. – Episode Six: "The Ghost Front"
- Tuesday, Oct. 2; 8-10:30 p.m. – Episode Seven: "A World Without War"
