ROCK HILL, S.C. - CeCe Sutton, executive vice president and head of retail and small business banking for Wachovia Corporation, will give the M.B.A. lecture at Winthrop University on Oct. 10.
There will be a 6 p.m. reception in Barnes Hall, followed by the lecture at 7 p.m.
Sutton, featured in U.S. Banker magazine’s “25 Most Powerful Women in Banking,” earned her E.M.B.A. from Winthrop in 1993. With 29 years in banking, she now is working to integrate Wachovia’s latest bank merger with World Savings, a company with branches in new areas, such as California, Nevada and Arizona. She has been a key executive with Wachovia during times of transition, such as the merging of Wachovia and First Union and the acquisition of SouthTrust.
Sutton is currently finishing a one-year term as chairperson-elect of the Consumer Bankers Association.
