Theatre and Dance Kicks Off Spring One-Act Festival April 17

ROCK HILL, S.C. - The arrival of spring signals the arrival of the Spring One-Act Festival presented by the Department of Theatre and Dance. Performances will be held April 17 at 8 p.m., April 18 at 2 and 8 p.m. and April 19 at 2 p.m. in Johnson Studio Theatre.

The festival will feature a mixture of eight plays directed by advanced theatre students. The plays, which range from comedies to dramas, are recommended for mature audiences due to adult situations and adult language, and all plays are student-directed and performed.

The Spring One-Act Festival lineup will include the following plays:

Group A

April 17, 8 p.m., and April 18, 2 p.m.

“Sure Thing” by David Ives

“A Game” by Dennis Nobel
Director: Jacci Deininger
Cast: Ari Williams, Kayla Piscatelli, Ann Lutzenkirchen, Ben Potilenchio

“Bone China” by K. Alexa Mavromatic

Cast: Bailey Robinson, Melissa Frierson

“Smoke Scenes” by Nick Zagone

Tickets are $8 with Winthrop I.D. and $15 for the general public, and seating is limited. Seating will not be permitted once performances have begun.
