Finish Christmas Shopping Early at the Holiday Pottery Sale Dec. 5
The sale will be held Friday, Dec. 5, from noon to 6 p.m. in the ground floor of Rutledge in G-10.

ROCK HILL, S.C. - The
19th Annual Holiday Pottery Sale
will be held Friday, Dec. 5, from noon to 6 p.m. in the ground floor of the
in Ceramics Room G-10.
Crafted by Winthrop students,
James Connell, professor of ceramics
, and his wife, Paula Smith, pieces for sale range from sculptural pieces to functional creations to Raku, or Japanese pottery, pieces.
This year's sale will feature
, a studio potter from Greenville, S.C., and a former Winthrop student, as the visiting artist.
Pieces for sale range in price from $10 to $100. Connell said proceeds from the sale will be used to purchase much-needed kiln shelves for the ceramics salt kiln and to bring in visiting artist Bonnie Seeman of Miami, Fla., to demonstrate for students during the spring semester.
