Lamont A. Young '13 to Deliver Fall MBA Lecture on Nov. 7

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Winthrop University’s fall 2013 M.B.A. lecture will feature Lamont A. Young ‘13, senior vice president, head of digital sales and chat at RBS Citizens Financial Group (RBSCFG). The lecture will be held on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. in Whitton Auditorium located in Vivian M. Carroll Hall. A reception will be held before the lecture, from 6-6:45 p.m., in the Macfeat House adjacent to Carroll Hall.

Young and his team are responsible for the end-to-end sales process for new household acquisition and digital cross-sell. Young also oversees online chat sales and chat servicing across Citizensbank.com and Charterone.com.

Before joining RBSCFG in 2012, Young held senior positions in retail banking, marketing and e-commerce at Bank of America Corp., including publishing its Business 24/7 Magazine and launching its online business forum. Young also spent several years leading a small business he founded focusing on design services and Web development.

Young is an active member of his community. He has served on the board of directors of Ending The Cycle, Inc.; held a leadership role with 100 Black Men of Maryland; and is an active volunteer with Crisis Ministries and Victory Sports Outreach.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Pennsylvania State University and received his M.B.A. from Winthrop. He is a member of the National Black M.B.A. Association, American Marketing Association, Sales and Marketing Executives of Boston, and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
