Pipes, Pedals and Pumpkins Event to Feature Halloween-Inspired Organ Performances

 The free event, which will begin at midnight on Halloween night in Byrnes Auditorium, will feature Halloween-inspired organ performances from a variety of performers.
 There also will be free candy and a pumpkin-carving contest with prizes
 The event is sponsored by the Department of Music, and Delta Omicron, Phi Mu Alpha, and Sigma Alpha Iota.

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Winthrop University’s Department of Music, and Delta Omicron, Phi Mu Alpha, and Sigma Alpha Iota will celebrate Halloween with “Pipes, Pedals and Pumpkins.”

The free event, which will begin at midnight on Halloween night in Byrnes Auditorium, will feature Halloween-inspired organ performances from a variety of performers. There also will be free candy and a pumpkin-carving contest with prizes of $100 for first place; $50 for second place; and $25 for third place. All pumpkins should be carved in advance by Winthrop students and/or Winthrop organizations. No candles will be allowed inside of the pumpkins and lights will be provided for the pumpkins.
