ROCK HILL, S.C. – Winthrop University’s Office of Academic Affairs and Center for Career and Civic Engagement will sponsor the 4th annual Major/Minor Fair for students on Oct. 17.

The event will last from 11 a.m. to noon in the Richardson Ballroom in the DiGiorgio Campus Center.

Open to students who have an undeclared/undecided major, the fair also will provide information to students who have a major, but need a minor to complement their major.

Amy Sullivan, director of Center for Career and Civic Engagement, said: “At the Major/Minor Fair, students will have the opportunity to learn about the 42 undergraduate programs and the more than 100 minors offered at Winthrop.”

This event, which is promoted by the Public Relations Writing (MCOM 471) class taught by mass communication faculty member Marilyn Sarow, provides students the chance to connect their interests with a major/minor.

Representatives from all majors and minors will be present at the event. Other offices such as Honors, ONCA, CLEP Testing, Academic Success Center, the International Center, and Graduate School will showcase their programs as well.
