Winthrop Offers New Certificate in Healthcare Management

 This 15-credit hour certificate is designed to train healthcare staffers to become more effective managers and supervisors and to prepare clinical professionals to move into healthcare management.
 Students, many of whom are anticipated to continue their full-time work schedules, will have the opportunity to take five courses over two or three semesters.

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Winthrop University’s College of Business Administration is now accepting applications for the 2013-14 Healthcare Management Certificate.

This 15-credit hour certificate is designed to train healthcare staffers to become more effective managers and supervisors and to prepare clinical professionals to move into healthcare management.

Participants will increase their overall understanding of management issues and business concepts in order to make well-informed decisions in the healthcare industry.  

Students, many of whom are anticipated to continue their full-time work schedules, will have the opportunity to take five courses over two or three semesters. The courses cover managerial roles, planning and marketing, the legal environment, and the economics and finance of healthcare.

Successful participants will receive an academic certificate of completion from Winthrop.
