Quick Facts

The event will be from noon-5 p.m. Friday.
People can drop off gently used items at the Student Activity Center beginning 5 p.m. Thursday.

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Start your spring cleaning and find items new to you during the Winthrop University Department of Residence Life’s 4th annual WUCycle event on Friday, April 12.

The goal of the event is to both give and receive freely. People are invited to donate unwanted but useful items while also browsing other donated items, which they can then take home, free of charge. There is no requirement to donate something in order to take something.

Early drop-off is available Thursday, April 11 from 5-8 p.m. at the Student Activity Center. All items must be in working condition. Items can also be dropped off the day of the event beginning at 8 a.m., also in the gym.

Those with a Winthrop ID or invited Rock Hill representatives are invited to browse items from noon-2 p.m. April 12. From 2-5 p.m., all members of the community are welcome.

Leftover items will be donated to Mulligan's Thrift Store.

Prohibited items include: alcohol, weapons, live animals, perishable food, undergarments, broken items, open cans of house paint, pornography, hazardous substances and drugs, which includes medicines and vitamins.
