Dacus Library Collecting Toys for Tots This Holiday Season

ROCK HILL, S.C. — During the holidays, it’s not just about the gifts you receive—it’s what you give as well. Winthrop University’s
Dacus Library
will collect
Toys for Tots through Dec. 14.
The
York County U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots
program is a non-profit organization that collects new, unwrapped toys for needy children and teenagers in the area. Recipients are between the ages of newborn to 15 years old.
Gifts for all ages are welcome. However, there is a particular need for gifts for those between 10 and 15 years old.
Suggested items include:
• Action figures/building toys
• Art Supplies
• Backpacks/messenger bags/purses/wallets
• Books
• Clock radios/watches
• Cosmetics
• Craft kits/room decorations
• Curling irons/flat irons/hair dryers
• Flash drives
• Headphones/earbuds
• Jewelry/jewelry kits/organizers
• MP3 players
• School organizers
• Sporting equipment (bats, bikes, skateboards, helmets, baseballs, gloves, footballs, soccer balls, basketballs, etc.)
If the gift requires batteries, please tape the batteries to the package. Items can be dropped off at the
library
