Students Show Off Creative License in Senior Choreography Showcase

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Winthrop University senior dance majors will show off their creativity beginning Nov. 30 with the Department of Theatre and Dance’s Senior Choreography Showcase.

Show times are 8 p.m. Nov.30-Dec. 1 and 2 p.m. Dec. 1-2 in Johnson Theatre. Tickets are $8 with a Winthrop ID and senior discount or $15 to the general public.

The show will feature 11 dance pieces, all choreographed by students. Styles of dance will include urban contemporary, jazz and modern dance. The student involvement doesn’t end at choreography: students in majors across campus are also involved in technical production, costume design, music and lighting.

The Senior Choreography Showcase is part of Rock Hill’s ChristmasVille.
