Roy Weathers to Deliver Fall M.B.A. Lecture on Nov. 26

Winthrop University’s fall 2012 M.B.A. lecture will feature Roy Weathers ’89, a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP’s New York office.

The lecture will be held on Monday, Nov. 26, at 5 p.m. in Whitton Auditorium located in Vivian M. Carroll Hall.

Weathers serves as the New York Metro Region Tax Leader and is a member of the PwC Extended US Tax leadership team.

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Winthrop University’s fall 2012 M.B.A. lecture will feature Roy Weathers ’89, a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP’s New York office. The lecture will be held on Monday, Nov. 26, at 5 p.m. in Whitton Auditorium located in Vivian M. Carroll Hall. A reception will immediately follow the lecture in the Macfeat House adjacent to Carroll Hall.

Weathers serves as the New York Metro Region Tax Leader and is a member of the PwC Extended US Tax leadership team. Prior to his current role, Weathers served as the New York Metro Region Tax Leader for Banking, Capital Markets and Insurance. Previously Weathers served as the PwC Chief Diversity Officer, and was part of the US Leadership team, where he reported directly to the Senior Partner of the US Firm.

Weathers has more than 23 years of experience serving multinational clients in the financial services industry, providing a full range of tax services, with a focus on money center and investment banks. He has managed a number of global tax teams around the world on engagements at large financial institutions. Weathers currently is the tax lead partner on several of the firm’s larger clients.

Weathers has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Winthrop and a master’s degree in accounting with a concentration in taxation from Clemson University. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of New York.

This event is free and open to the regional business community.

In addition to his M.B.A. lecture, Weathers also will speak as part of the Leadership Lecture Series on Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 11 a.m. in Whitton Auditorium.
