Winthrop to Turn Blue on April 2 for Autism Awareness Day

 In honor of Autism Awareness Day, the exterior lights of Tillman Hall, the Eagle sculpture and the main university entrance on Oakland Avenue will have a blue gel cover placed over them.
 The Chrysalis Autism Center is encouraging individuals to replace their exterior home lights with blue light bulbs to show support in addition to wearing blue articles of clothing on April 2.

ROCK HILL, S.C. - A few areas of Winthrop University's campus will have a different glow to them on the evening of Monday, April 2.

In honor of Autism Awareness Day, the exterior lights of Tillman Hall, the Eagle sculpture and the main university entrance on Oakland Avenue will have a blue gel cover placed over them. Those areas will be bathed in blue light as part of the Chrysalis Autism Center's local "Light it Up Blue" awareness campaign, part of the international project sponsored by Autism Speaks.
