Second Annual Muse Fest Reinvades Old Town Rock Hill

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Celebrate and revel in all things art at the second annual Muse Fest Oct. 20-23 in Old Town Rock Hill, S.C.

Presented by Gallery Up, the event takes place in and around the Gettys Art Center and is centered around a juried vendor craft market. Market vendors, including Winthrop faculty, students and alumni, will offer one-of-a-kind handmade items from jewelry, illustrations, photography, paintings, ceramics and accessories.

Gallery Up presents Muse Fest with support from various local organizations featuring title sponsor York Technical College. Other supporters include Harry & 'Becca Dalton, Periwinkle Cafe & Bakery, Chili's, Gala Affairs, Woody's Music, Arts Council of York County, Winthrop University Galleries, Imagine That!, Backstreet Studio and Green Mobile Detailing. Winthrop University Galleries is sponsoring the showing of the film Handmade Nation on Friday.

In addition to the market, the festival highlights include a VIP reception on Thursday night with a performance by Winthrop faculty members Tom Stanley and Alf Ward, artist demos, multiple exhibitions, film screenings, performances, live bands, food trucks, craft beers, a photo booth, raffles and more.

Thursday, Oct. 20

- Catered with live music from Loose Change, preview shopping and giveaways
- Tickets available for $15 each at Up and musefest.us (only 50 available to the public!)

Friday, Oct. 21

* Indie Film Fest including Hand Made Nation, Gettys Art Center parking lot 7 - 9 p.m.
* Food Trucks featuring Maki Taco & Herban Legend, Gettys Art Center parking lot
* Live Bands: Perry Fowler, Nicholas Holman & The Human Race, and Greg Ellis & Slade Baird, Space 157, 157 East Main St., 9 -11p.m.
