CHESTER, S.C. - Rising senior Collin Truesdale, 22, died Tuesday from a sudden and brief illness at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.
His funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Chester Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church at 159 Main Street, Chester, S.C. Visitation with his family will follow the service in the Barron Room in the church.
Born March 14, 1989, in Chester, he was a son of Bruce Edwin and Barbara Love Truesdale. He was a graduate of Richard Winn Academy, Class of 2008, and was a member of Chester A.R.P. Church.
Winthrop officials said Truesdale had been in summer school but withdrew recently because he was not feeling well. He was a senior business administration major with a concentration in accounting. “Our community is lessened by his tragic loss,” said Frank Ardaiolo, vice president for student life.
Family members said Collin was to be the third Truesdale sibling who graduated from Winthrop.
