Scholars Walk Honors Award Winners, Donors

A small reception will be held in June to officially dedicate and celebrate the installation of the bricks on Scholars Walk.

Bricks are still available for purchase and cost $250.

ROCK HILL, S.C. - The first phase of the installation of engraved bricks on Scholars Walk, the heart of Winthrop's campus, is completed. The bricks paving Scholars Walk are engraved with names and messages from donors who have purchased a brick. There is also a special installation of bricks engraved as a gift from the university for the winners of:

-The Tillman Award, given to the senior with the most distinguished academic record in each graduating class;
-The Kinard Prize for Teaching, given to faculty members whose exemplify excellence in the classroom; and
-The Distinguished Professor Award, the highest honor presented to faculty members.

A small reception will be held in June to officially dedicate and celebrate the installation of the bricks on Scholars Walk. Past award winners and donors who have purchased bricks will receive an invitation.

Bricks are still available for purchase and cost $250. Through March 31, donors can purchase a brick for the price of $100 with a $10 per month credit card gift over a 10-month period.
