ROCK HILL, S.C. - KPMG LLP and Winthrop’s College of Business Administration invite area business leaders to learn about international financial reporting standards on March 31 at Carroll Hall on the university’s campus.

Companies of all sizes are grappling with the challenges presented by changes in accounting standards and the impact on all business organizations. Anticipating the changes in key metrics of performance, vendor and customer contracts, debt covenants, information technology and more will be discussed in the free, day-long seminar for “IFRS — Convergence or Conversion: Will Your Organization Be Ready?”

The morning session registration is at 9:30 a.m. and starts with “IFRS-The Basics” and continues in the afternoon with a 2:30 p.m. panel discussion of “IFRS — Implementation and Practice Issues.” This session provides opportunities to discuss with a panel of experts, the challenges encountered in conversion projects and the path forward through convergence.
