Winthrop Students Elected as DSU Officers

 As president, Chad Quirin, a philosophy major, will help coordinate the selection of lecturers, comedians, musicians and entertainers to perform on campus.
 Selected as the new DSU vice president was Julia Mankin, a Myrtle Beach, S.C., resident majoring in special education.

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Chad Quirin of Lovettsville, Va. was sworn in April 22 as the Dinkins Student Union’s new program board president at Winthrop University.

As president, the philosophy major will help coordinate the selection of lecturers, comedians, musicians and entertainers to perform on campus. Earlier this year, Winthrop was nominated as one of the top five campus programs in the country by Campus Activities Magazine.

Selected as the new DSU vice president was Julia Mankin, a Myrtle Beach, S.C., resident majoring in special education. Working with Boyd Jones, the university’s programs director, will be Leanne Veach, student assistant, who is a sophomore from Surfside Beach, S.C. majoring in integrated marketing communication.
