Ebonites Reach Out With Soul Survivors Concert

 The musical selections for the program will be gospel in nature, performed by groups from North and South Carolina.

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Winthrop’s Association of Ebonites will hold a "Soul Survivors: A Hurricane Katrina Relief Concert"on Friday, Sept. 16, at Byrnes Auditorium.

The 7 p.m. concert is in partnership with the American Red Cross and Winthrop’s Office of Multicultural Student Life. Admission is free but donations will be collected.

Members of the Ebonites said Hurricane Katrina has catastrophically altered the lives of individuals in Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi. The cultural awareness organization has pledged to help the disaster victims in whatever way they can.

The musical selections for the program will be gospel in nature, performed by groups from North and South Carolina.
