Philosophy and Religious Studies Programs

Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Religion

Students may choose from the Philosophy Track, Religious Studies Track, or the Combined Track.

Minor in Philosophy

The minor in philosophy consists of 18 semester hours of PHIL:

• PHIL 101 (3) Introduction to Basic Issues in Philosophy
• PHIL 220 (3) Logic and Language or PHIL 225 (3) Symbolic Logic
• PHIL 301 (3) History of Philosophy: Ancient Period or PHIL 302 (3) History of Philosophy: Modern Period

And 9 additional hours, 3 of which must in courses numbered above 299.

Minor in Philosophy and Religion

The minor in philosophy and religion consists of 18 semester hours of PHIL and RELG, to include

• PHIL 101 (3) Introduction to Basic Issues in Philosophy
• RELG 101 (3) Introduction to Religion

And 12 additional hours, 6 of which must be in courses numbered above 299.

Minor in Religion

The minor in religion consists of 18 semester hours of RELG:

• RELG 101 (3) Introduction to Religion
• RELG 220 (3) Reading Biblical Texts
• RELG 300 (3) World Religions

And 9 additional hours, 3 of which must be in courses numbered above 299.
