What makes Kaleidoscope the program
for you?

Kaleidoscope, now in its seventh year, is run by
folks who have more than twenty years
experience with similar programs.  It brings
together diverse students who have one thing
in common   -   a love for the arts!
Each student and teacher in the program
represents one piece of the kaleidoscope, and
adds his/her own unique knowledge, interests,
and talents to form the kaleidoscope. It is the
interaction among these pieces, as they shift
and turn, that creates the excitement, the
sparkle, and the challenge of the program.

                                                  Students

No more than 100 students will be selected
to attend this two-week long program.
Students range in age from 13-18. They come
from all over the southeastern and southern
portion of the United States (and beyond).
Students are housed in a college dormitory
   with an adult supervisory staff.

              Faculty

The strength of our faculty is our greatest
asset. We have brought together a faculty of
professionals and experienced teachers, with a
wide variety of backgrounds, all of whom were
selected for their abilities as "artists," and their
desire to pass this on to young people.

                                             Activities

In addition to an intense schedule of
 classes, Kaleidoscope offers an opportunity
for a variety of recreational activities each
day. Activities such as swimming, tennis,
and volley ball are available. During the first
week we bring in a number of outside
performers to share with the students in
 evening performances. During the second
 week the students themselves perform.
On Saturday, July 8, the group will spend the
day at Paramount Carowinds Theme Park,
which also includes a water park.
