Mandatory Health Insurance Requirement -
As you know by now, all International Students at Winthrop are required to have health insurance. A charge for this insurance for the semester has been placed on your student account. You are able to have your own health insurance policy but it must meet the standards of the Winthrop University policy.
In order to have the insurance charge removed from your student account you must loggon to the Winthrop University policy site and waive the insurance. Once the waiver is approved by our insurance provider the charge will be removed from your account. Instructions on how to waive the insurance are available in the International Center as well as sent to you via email to your Winthrop University email address.
