All reporting officials (faculty, administrators, supervisors, student life personnel, athletics personnel, and campus police) have a particular responsibility for reporting sexual harassment/assault and discrimination of employees and students. To ensure that all reports of harassment and discrimination investigated according to Winthrop’s policies, the Office of Human Resources has developed the following schedule for educating the campus community going forward:
In addition to online training, the Office of Human Resources and the Division of Student Life offer classroom style Harassment and Discrimination training twice each year through the TLC; once during the fall semester and again in the spring semester (additional trainings may be offered throughout the year based on demand). All employees are welcomed and encouraged to attend the classroom style training. Employees who attend the classroom style will not be required to also complete the online training. Faculty and staff who work closely with students are particularly encouraged to attend the classroom style training.
