Application Guidelines
 Any full–time Winthrop University student classified as a Junior or Senior by the University is eligible as a candidate for Homecoming King or Queen. 

 Candidates must be in good academic and judicial standing with the university, and have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA (Winthrop University hours only).

 All applications for Homecoming King and Queen must be submitted online and are date and time stamped when submitted. Any applications submitted after the 5 p.m. deadline will NOT be considered.

 Applications are only considered complete when the following items are submitted: the application, short answer responses, and resume.


Dates                                                                       
Oct. 12   Deadline for applications  5:00 p.m.
Oct. 21      Screening of applications 2-5:00 p.m. 
Oct. 22 Candidates' names selected for interviews will be notified by email. no later then 12pm on 10.22  
Oct. 24 All selected candidates need to come to 269 DIGS to sign up for an interview time slot 9:00-5:00 p.m.
Oct. 28 Interviews for King and Queen in DIGS 257 & 256  2-5:00 p.m.     
Nov. 1      Email notification sent to those selected for the court   12:00 p.m.
Nov. 7  Homecoming Court Presentation. Campaigning and voting will begin after the presentation ends
Presentation is in the Richardson Ballroom. 
8:00 p.m.
Nov. 11  Voting ends 12:00 p.m.
Nov. 12   Winners announced at Half time of Men's Basketball Game  4:00 p.m.
