Please congratulate the women of Delta Zeta for being selected as Chapter of the Month for April.  (Chapter of the Month is selected at the monthly chapter president meeting)

Delta Zeta had an extremely busy month! During the first week of April, they were paired up with Kappa Alpha Psi and Pi Mu Alpha for Greek Week and they, Team X-Men, took a second place finish. The chapter also participated in Pi Kappa Phi's rose bowl.   They had a very successful Philanthropy Week to raise money for The Painted Turtle Camp, which is a camp for chronically ill children out in California.  During their philanthropy week, they had a Campout in Digs lobby from 8am to 8pm and had a spirit night at Groucho's Deli.  They also hosted Paint-a-Turtle for the first time on the Campus Green, where individuals donated money to throw paint at their favorite Delta Zeta's for a great cause. Their philanthropy fundraising week ended with the third annual Turtle Tug, which is a Tug-of-War tournament over a pool of Jell-O and they had 14 teams participate.  Overall, Delta Zeta was able to raise $2,133!

Their month did not stop there. They participated in Relay for Life, raising $1,227.01 for the American Cancer Society, hosted an informational party for potential new members, sisterhood events, and had a mixer with Kappa Sigma.  At Greek Awards, they were honored with the Outstanding Chapter Service to Philanthropy Award, Outstanding Program along with Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. for Mr. Right/Mr. Right Now, and the Excellence in New Member Education Award. Delta Zeta is currently preparing for the end of the semester and have one final Adopt-a-Highway service event, formal, and their Senior Appreciation Ceremony.
