Letter to Potential New Member

Welcome to Panhellenic Recruitment 2016!

I am so excited that you are interested in participating in formal recruitment! Joining a Greek organization has been the best decision that I have made during my time at Winthrop.  During my years as a sorority woman, I have made friendships that I will carry with me forever.  Also, being Greek has provided me with the opportunity to build connections at Winthrop as well as in the Rock Hill/Charlotte area, which would have never been possible if I had not fostered and built relationships with people within the Greek community.

I understand that it may be difficult finding a sense of unity when you first come to college.  However, by joining a Greek organization, you find that unity and a sense of belonging. Going Greek gives you the chance to find a home away from home among like-minded people.

Greek life will give you the opportunity to grow both personally and socially. Your experience will be enriched by leadership roles, community service projects, activities you participate in, and the people you meet.

I am looking forward to seeing where Recruitment 2016 will lead you during your time at Winthrop and what bonds you will form that will last beyond your college years. I now invite you to join us and become a better version of yourself through leadership, service, and friendship.  Please do not hesitate to contact me with anything!
