National Pan-Hellenic Council
National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) is the governing body of the historically African-American fraternities and sororities (also known as the Divine Nine) and is responsible for setting standards and policy for the chapters at Winthrop University that are housed under National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. Members of the council consist of seven executive board members and one delegate from each of the seven organizations. The council provides programming, fellowship, and information to the members of NPHC through educational programs, round-table discussions, and forums. They are also responsible for NPHC Unwritten Rules and coordinate the annual Homecoming Step Show.
- Unwritten Rules - August 31 9 p.m. Richardson Ballroom (Anyone interested in joining a NPHC organization MUST attend the semester they are planning to join. Please bring Winthrop ID.)
- Homecoming Step Show - Saturday, November 12 at 8:00 p.m. (doors open at 7:00 p.m.) Byrnes Auditorium

2017-2018 NPHC Scholarship
The National Pan-Hellenic Council of Winthrop
University will be providing TWO $500 scholarships to Winthrop
University freshmen to be awarded for 2017-2018 academic year. The scholarships will be granted to two
recipients that develop the given topic into a complete and intuitive
essay. Completed scholarship packets must
be received by Tuesday, April 25th
