Graduate Certificate in Management

This new 12-hour Graduate Certificate in Management will allow students and professionals from a variety of disciplines the opportunity to gain management and business skills suitable for managerial and administrative work roles. Through skill-based learning and hands-on application, the curriculum prepares students for management positions by improving their knowledge of professional management duties, strengthening business and communication skills, and building awareness of management-related issues.
Enrollment is only open to students who already hold a Bachelor's degree.
Curriculum: 12 credit hours
ACCT 670 Principles of Accounting - 1 hr.
CSCI 670 Principles of Information Technology - 1 hr.
FINC 670 Principles of Finance - 1 hr.
MGMT 622 Advanced Human Resource Management - 3 hrs.
MGMT 575 Business Ethics - 3hrs.
MGMT 682 Organizational Behavior - 3 hrs.
Requirements depend upon whether or not you are a current or former Winthrop University graduate student. Please review requirements carefully. Once we receive all required items, your application will be reviewed for an admissions decision.
For actively enrolled, degree-seeking Winthrop graduate students:
Complete the online graduate school application. One page 2 of the online application, select the Certificate in Management as the program you wish to apply to. Contact the Graduate School office at 803/323-2204 or email@example.com to request a fee waiver code in order to submit your online application without incurring the $50 application fee.
For alumni of Winthrop graduate degree programs who graduated in the last five years:
Complete the online graduate school application. One page 2 of the online application, select the Certificate in Management as the program you wish to apply to.
For all other applicants:
1. Complete the online graduate school application. One page 2 of the online application, select the Certificate in Management as the program you wish to apply to.
2. Have official transcript(s) of all undergraduate and graduate coursework sent to The Graduate School, Winthrop University, 211 Tillman Hall, Rock Hill, SC 29733. NOTE: transcripts must be sent to our office directly from the issuing institutions; we cannot accept transcripts from individuals, even if they are sealed, signed official transcripts.
3. Have official GMAT or GRE score sent to the Graduate School office. Winthrop's test reporting code is 5910.
