The
Coordinator for Students with Disabilities
serves as a liaison between students with
disabilities and the Winthrop community to
ensure full access to programs and services.
Through services and accommodations, the goal of
the disability services staff is to provide
equal educational access for students who
provide appropriate documentation. Because
each student’s needs are unique, accommodations
are provided based on current, appropriate
documentation of disability and needs. Students
with disabilities are responsible for 1)
identifying themselves to the Coordinator
through an intake interview, 2) providing
documentation, 3) seeking services each semester
when needed and 4) using agreed upon academic
accommodations. For further information about
services for students with disabilities, call
803/323‑3290 (V/TDD). |
