Under the provisions of Section
59-111-320 of the South Carolina Code of Laws,
state
supported colleges and universities are authorized to permit
legal residents of South Carolina
who have attained the age of 60 to attend classes for credit
or noncredit purposes on a space available basis without the
required payment of tuition, if these persons meet admission
and other standards deemed appropriate by the college or
university and if these persons did not receive compensation
as a full-time employee.
Exemption
must be requested at the time of registration.
A $10 registration
fee is required, in addition to any lab fees, book
purchases and/or other course fees.
