The Master of Education degree in reading is designed to better prepare the certified classroom teacher for literacy instruction. Graduates of this program will meet South Carolina course requirements for certification as a reading teacher. In addition, graduates must have satisfactory scores on the appropriate PRAXIS examination to meet certification requirements.  Graduate courses are also available to enable the certified teacher to meet certification requirements for reading consultant.
