Job Description:
                  Responsibilites:  Under general supervision of the Assistant Director of Financial Aid, the Office Assistant is responsible for:  staffing the reception area when the Administrative Specialist is absent; providing general financial aid information to students and parents, both by telephone and in person; providing support to the financial aid staff on various projects; and filing/imaging.

Specific Qualifications:       Admitted as a degree-seeking student at Winthrop University; knowledge of general office policies and procedures; ability to understand the steps in the processing of financial aid; ability to handle effectively a variety of tasks simultaneously; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; and experience with computer systems (Banner experience preferred).

Hourly Pay Rate:
                       $8.00 - $10.00

Weekly Hours:                           25 - 30 (summer); 15 - 20 (fall/spring).

Days and Hours:                        Afternoon work hours preferred.
