Your visual class rosters are available for viewing on the web. These rosters are always available for your classes, allowing you to view or print pictures of the students in your classes. You may view them at anytime by going to http://www.winthrop.edu/system/photoid.
Assuming you have been correctly assigned as the instructor of record in SIS, you will be provided a choice where you can "Print Photo ID for Course Roster". Then, you will see a listing of the classes you currently teach. You will be able to select these courses to view a graphical roster of your courses with pictures of your students.
You have an option to display images 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% of the actual image size. You can also select "NO" to the display images selection. If you choose "NO", then you will receive a listing of your students with their corresponding email address (if they have already applied for one).
The existing photo ID web service has been expanded to include photos and lists of the students you advise. This allows you to view or print pictures of your advisees. Assuming you have been correctly assigned as an advisor of record for students in SIS, you will be provided a choice where you can "Print PhotoID for Advisor/Advisee List".
Bear in mind that your class and advisee listings will include a number of students with "no image available". We only have photos of people who had a Winthrop ID card issued since August of 2001. Therefore, classes with a lot of graduate students or upperclassmen may not have many images available. Please advise your students who don't have images showing to go to the Technology Services Office in 15 Tillman (basement) to have a new ID card printed.
Exporting Student Data from Wingspan to Excel for an Online Gradebook
Wingspan has been modified so that you can easily export data from your Wingspan course listings to Excel to use for an online gradebook. When you go into Wingspan under Faculty Services and open your course listing, you will see a grey button that reads "Export to Excel." Click on this button, click "open" in the grey dialogue box that will pop up, and you will see your students listed in an Excel window. You must then save this spreadsheet page under a new name in "My Documents" or wherever you want to keep it.
