Greece, Spring Arts Offerings at Winthrop University
By the time the Summer Olympics games

First Inductees to
Winthrop Athletics Hall of Fame Announced
On Feb. 27, a ceremonial dinner is
planned to honor six individuals who will be inducted into Winthrop’s
first Athletics Hall of Fame class.
Selected from among the nominations submitted this past year, the
inductees include three former Winthrop athletes, two coaches and one
athletic administrator.
“We are looking forward to this
special event in the history of the university and its athletics
program,” said Winthrop Athletics Director Tom Hickman. “We believe
the time has come to honor the outstanding individuals who have left
their mark on Winthrop’s athletics program, and to recognize the
pioneers and leaders who have helped direct the successful evolution
of Winthrop athletics from its years as an all-female school, to a
quality NCAA Division I coeducational program,” Hickman added.
